This tutorial shows how to install aircrack-ng suite the easy way. Internet connection is required. This was tested working on the Ubuntu release 10.10 running on the 2.6.35-28-generic-pae kernel. It should work on other systems. If the.-init and.term scripts dont work, edit them and try replace the 'wlan0' with 'wifi0'. Likewise with the 'mon0'. OpenSSL is included, and so is Build-Essential in the scripts for when you need to compile drivers for use with your wireless card (if needed for your card).

I don't know what steps you have taken, but aircrack-ng is in the 'universe' repositories. All you need to do is open up a terminal, and type in the following: sudo apt-get install aircrack-ng This will install the whole suite, including airmon, airodump, and aireplay.

Techlog software crackers. Make sure that you have the universe repository enabled. To do that, search and open the 'Software Sources' from the dash, and make sure that the universe repository is checked (the highlighted one below).
